CONFERENCE Held in New York City, NY
March, 2017
Co-Presented by AEGUS
and the
Quad Preparatory School
New York City, NY
For more than 25 years, noted researchers and practicioners have gathered across the country at various AEGUS Conference sites to share their expertise with teachers, service providers, parents, and students.
This year our conference theme is:
Unlocking Potential in 2e Learners!
What is neurodiversity? It is the idea that neurological differences like autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities are the result of normal, natural variation in the human genome. This is a new and fundamentally different way of looking at conditions that were traditionally pathologized. Those who embrace the concept of neurodiversity believe that individuals with learning differences do not have to cured; they need strategies, support, and accommodations!
This year, as in years past, our conference speakers and sessions will introduce participants to the newest approaches and research that support bright students with learning challenges and allow those students to reach their fullest potential despite their neurodiversity!
